Frank D. Keim Graduate Fellowship

Deadlines:
Award, Fellow, and Scholarship nominations initiated by April 09, 2013
Reference Letters and Final Nomination submission by April 17, 2013

The purpose of this award is to enhance the National Student Recognition Program and to honor the unparalleled academic advising of the late Frank D. Keim, whose students and work have reached around the world. The Fellowship is administered by the American Society of Agronomy and supported by the Frank D. Keim Fund of the Agronomic Science Foundation. The Fellowship is in the amount of $1000.


Eligibility
  1. Nominees will have been selected by their department for the 2012 National Student Recognition Program to be eligible to apply.
  2. Nominees will have been accepted for a graduate study program in agronomy or related field and intend to complete a graduate degree(s).

Evaluation
  1. Academic excellence (50%).
  2. Leadership activities (35%).
  3. Future plans related to the Agronomy profession (15%).

Nominee Qualifications:

  1. Graduate School and Department
  2. Graduate Advisor
    Provide the name and email address of graduate advisor. (Character Limit: 100)
  3. Academic Experience
    What has been your most beneficial academic experience pursuing your undergraduate degree? (Character Limit: 1500)
  4. Leadership Activities
    Please give a concise list of your leadership activities since entering college. (Character Limit: 1500)
  5. Club Role
    What has been your role with a student club affiliate with the Students of Agronomy, Soils and Environmental Sciences (SASES). (Character Limit: 1500)
  6. Future Plans
    Briefly describe your future plans, telling how you can benefit agronomic science. (Character Limit: 1500)
  7. Resume
    Provide a resume that includes major, year in school, and cumulative grade point average. (Character Limit: 6000)

Add References To Nomination

Provide contact information (name, full mailing address, phone, and email) for three individuals who will submit online reference letters.

Note: Monitor these three letters online under "Nominations" as you will need to log in and submit the completed nomination containing the three reference letters.
